Fire Fighter for a Day

What does the activity include? This gives you a full day 'hands on' experience as a fire fighter. You will drive the engine wear breathing apparatus in a confined space perform a vehicle extraction using hydraulic rescue equipment and of course fight fires! You will receive a framed photograph and a certificate at the end of the day. Where does the experience take place? Redhill Aerodrome Surrey. What should I wear? Please wear loose casual clothing a track suit and T-shirt is ideal. You will be provided with a full fire fighting outfit and protective equipment. How long should I allow for this experience? Approximate time at the venue is 6 hrs 30 mins. When does the activity take place? Selected Saturdays from March to November. Report time is 9.45am to start at 10.00am and you should finish around 4.00pm. Are there any restrictions? The participant must be in general good health and be of reasonable fitness. Minimum age: 17 years What about the weather? In the unlikely event of the course being cancelled due to weather conditions an alternative date will be offered to you. Can I bring spectators? Yes a maximum of 2 spectators per participant. Light refreshments are provided. What else do I need to know? Personal Accident Insurance is included. You will be provided with a buffet lunch and light refreshments throughout the day. Once you have booked you MUST give at least 7 days notice to cancel or change your booking.
